The Advice Hub Kensington and Chelsea is a website set up by the Advice Now Project.
The Advice Now Project, funded for three years by the Big Lottery Fund is directed by a steering committee made up of advice and information providers in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, with North Kensington Law Centre acting as the lead organisation'
Advice NOW aims to:-
- Strengthen and improve advice options in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea
- Reduce social exclusion through collaboration on improving gateways to advice;
- Develop capacity through centralised training and development;
- Enhance Community engagement in the planning and delivery of services;
- Ensure consistent quality of advice throughout the borough; and
- Raise the profile of advice with commissioning bodies demonstrating how advice provision contributes to the community strategy and other commissioning objectives.
How the Advice NOW project can support the roles of Advice and Community Groups in the borough of Kensington & Chelsea
The project employs a Co-ordinator and two Roving Advisers who will work in collaboration with all advice and community groups within the borough of Kensington & Chelsea, in order to improve and increase access to advice services for the most socially marginalised groups in the borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
